Sentence
a set of words that is complete in itself, typically containing a subject and predicate, conveying a statement, question, exclamation, or command, and consisting of a main clause and sometimes one or more subordinate clauses.
Syntax
the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language.
Simple
easily understood or done; presenting no difficulty.
Compound
a thing that is composed of two or more separate elements; a mixture.
consisting of many different and connected parts.
Minor
lesser in importance, seriousness, or significance.
Independent Clause
a clause that can form a complete sentence standing alone, having a subject and a predicate.
Dependent Clause
A dependent clause is a group of words with a subject and a verb. It does not express a complete thought so it is not a sentence and can’t stand alone. These clauses include adverb clauses, adjective clauses and noun clauses.
Marker Word
an object used to indicate a position, place, or route.
Ibrahim is very buff.
Ibrahim is sitting down.
There is a laptop.

The classroom was warm and there are green chairs.
It was raining even though it was sunny outside.
The classroom was warm even though it was freezing outside. The chairs were bright green although there were many of them. The children in the classroom were working hard even though they were chatting. The walls were blue but it had a square pattern.
