Why I chose Bangkok as my setting:
Because Bangkok has a very calming, tropical vacation-like feel to it and I felt like in all this comfort there should be a threat or a lingering danger just waiting to happen. A tiger is going to be my “lingering danger” as it represents a hungry predator scavenging for food out in the Khao Sok Jungle and it comes across my main character who is a 10 year old boy named Li Xian who was separated from his parents while exploring the vast jungle.
Date/ Time: 13th of March
Weather: Summer with mild rainstorms
Temperature: 40 degrees (Pretty hot) with 75% humidity (So the atmosphere is going to be really moist and there’s going to be a lot of sweating). Sweating also creates tension as people tend to sweat under pressure and adds more discomfort to the main character.
The theme or ‘mood’ of my creative piece is going to be a sense of discomfort to the audience or readers.
